2011 Season - Week 21

And so we are five days away from Superbowl XLVI on BBC Two. If you cannot make it to HQ on Sunday for the big game but still want to have a wager or two, we will be playing the usual games at the traditional price of £1 per game. Remember all money is split equally between the games winners as the BUMS is a non-profit making organisation and gambling is the work of the devil. Attached is the price of the Superbowl players so you can enter your team (usual rules 1 x QB, 1 x K, 4 x Outfield Players for a maximum of $7.5m). The other games are First Player to Score (QB only if he runs it in), Half-time score, Full-time score and leader by Quarter eg Giants,Tie,Patriots,Patriots. (GTPP). All-BUMS Voting Thanks to those who have already voted for their favourite players of 2011. If you have not voted yet remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 Quarterbacks, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points, how much you enjoy them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were on your roster. The deadline is this Thursday February 2nd, two days time so please vote now if you haven’t done so already. (See Pos Scoring attachment) BUMSBowl XVI As mentioned last week Daz is looking to win the BUMSBowl for a record fourth time this weekend after victories in 1996, ’99 & 06 (he’s currently tied with Chief and Marcus with three wins). It’s Daz’s fifth visit to the big game having lost in 1997. Meantime Mark is also in his fifth final however he lost in 2001, ’04 & ’06 and has to go all the way back to 1998 to find his only BUMSBowl victory. Daz has a play-off record of 22-12 while Mark is 23-14 yet despite this they have only met once before. Back in 2006 in BUMSBowl XI they tied 14 all but Daz won on the momentum rule. So let battle commence, Daz & Mark need to get their teams in by 6pm this Saturday. First come, first served as always gents. BUMS on Superbowl Seats Superbowl XLVI is this Sunday on BBC One with kick-off around 11.20pm & Cheryl will be cooking a USA feast, before 10.55pm when Ron and Craig will put the BBC coverage on air. It will be an unbiased meal of New England Patriot Chowder, Steak Baguettes and New York Giant Cheesecake. Please let me know by Thursday 11pm if you intend to come so we can plan the shopping list and seating plan. See you at 10:30pm for food.
